Last updated: October 12, 2026.
1. Controller and scope
Santiago Martínez, in connection with the activities of the Martínez Llaguno practice, is the controller for the processing described in this notice. Address: Vasconcelos Pte. 745-9, San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León, postal code 66220, Mexico. Privacy contact: info@martinezllaguno.com.
This notice covers browsing the website and initial inquiries received through the published contact details. If an engagement requires additional information, its processing will be explained before it is collected.
2. Information we may receive
When you email or call us, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number and the information you choose to share about your inquiry or project. The website has no contact forms, visitor accounts or online payments. We do not request sensitive personal information for browsing or initial inquiries; please avoid sending identity documents, bank details or sensitive information that is not necessary.
To deliver pages and images, the technical infrastructure receives connection data such as IP address, request date and time, requested resource and browser information. This data may form part of operational and security logs. Your browser also stores a temporary preference for the opening animation, as described in the Cookie policy.
3. Purposes
We process information to answer inquiries, communicate with you about requested services, prepare and follow up on a proposal you request, operate the website, address security incidents and meet applicable legal obligations. Making an inquiry does not subscribe you to an advertising list.
The current website does not incorporate Facebook Pixel or use your visits for remarketing campaigns. If advertising tools are introduced, this notice will be updated to explain the relevant data, recipients and purposes, and applicable consent controls will be enabled before those tools are activated.
4. Providers and disclosures
The website uses Vercel for hosting and TinaCMS/TinaCloud to manage and deliver content and images. These services and email providers may perform technical processing needed to operate the website or handle messages, including through infrastructure outside Mexico. Their involvement will be limited to the relevant services and must be subject to the measures and conditions required by applicable law.
This version of the website does not contemplate selling your data or transferring it to third parties for advertising. Information may be disclosed when required by law or a valid request from a competent authority. Other transfers will be explained and your consent requested where necessary.
5. Retention and protection
Data will be retained for as long as necessary for the stated purposes and applicable legal obligations or liabilities, then blocked or deleted as appropriate. Access must be limited to people who need it for those purposes, with administrative, technical and physical measures appropriate to the processing. No communication over the Internet is entirely free of risk.
6. Rights and requests
You may request access to your personal data, rectification of inaccurate information, cancellation or objection to certain processing (ARCO rights under Mexican law). You may also request withdrawal of consent or limitations on the use or disclosure of your data, subject to applicable legal obligations and exceptions. Withdrawal does not have retroactive effect.
Send requests to info@martinezllaguno.com with the subject “Privacy / ARCO rights”. Include your name, a way to receive a response, the right you wish to exercise and a description of your request. Provide information that helps locate the records and establish your identity or authority to act; for rectification, explain and support the requested correction. You may first contact the same address to arrange identity verification without sending excessive information.
A decision on an ARCO request will be communicated within twenty business days of receipt and, if granted, implemented within fifteen business days of the response, subject to justified extensions permitted by law. We will respond through your designated channel; where access is granted, an electronic copy will be provided after identity verification. Exercising these rights is free, apart from reproduction or delivery costs lawfully applicable. Use the same channel for withdrawal or limitation requests; you will receive information about their applicability and effects.
If you believe your rights have not been addressed, you may contact the competent personal data protection authority under current Mexican law.
7. Changes
Changes will be published on this page with an updated date. Any additional notice or fresh consent required for a change will be addressed before the relevant processing. This notice is interpreted under Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties and other applicable provisions.
